The dimensions of the CNV580 are compact and the functionality is optimised for either stand-alone use or networking via RS485 serial. In the first case, with digital I/Os or via the 4...20mA analogue input, it is possible to collect data from sensors or other devices. In the second case the RS485 serial via Modbus RTU protocol connects the CNV580 with other Pixsys devices equipped with serial and allows reading/writing of selected variables. CNV510 allow to interface devices equipped with Modbus RTU protocol on RS485 or CANOpen with systems based on the Siemens ProfibusDP and Profinet protocols. NET485 is a signal repeater and galvanic isolator for RS485 networks: when distances are long and it is necessary to amplify the signal on an RS485 network, it is useful to install a repeater device that also provides galvanic isolation between communication branches and eliminates possible ground loops with the power supply.
